Today's Favourites
Sometimes you can really keep your outfits super minimal and just rely on the character of one or two items to do the fashion talking. Leather pointies with gold hardware paired with a Chanel Classic flap-bag just oozes fashuun, duh (insert sassy emoji here). I was lucky enough to get gifted the Chanel 2.55mm small classic bag from my family for graduating, and I'm surprised at just how much this bag is adaptable to different outfits. I wear this with baggy tees and ripped jeans one day, and then I match it with a gorgeous midi dress and heels the next. I'm not one for prints, or super crowded textures and patterns, therefore my style seems to fall under that 'monochrome & minimalistic' umbrella so I never have to justify a flashy bag or a pair of shoes.
I've mentioned these pointies a few times before, and that's because I'm genuinely in love with them. They look expensive, though I grabbed them for a mere £9.99 in the Zara sale! They're real leather, super sturdy and also surprisingly versatile. Although this particular shoe is no longer available, I listed my favourite high street styles on a previous post (here). One paired with a pair of ripped skinnies, a classic v-neck white t-shirt and the gorgeous Chanel bag, you have yourself a tamed, but uber stylish look.
Happy Styling!

Vintage Shop Browsin' : OOTD
Leather jackets are my Spring time staple. They're the perfect addition to any outfit with the right amount of layering and warmth. In London we're at that stage where winter coats are too much though we can't skip jackets totally just yet. This outfit, apart from being an example of how double denim can work, is an example of layering.
The jeans I'm wearing here were bought from Topshop in the mid-season sale for...£5. They are two sizes up from what I usually wear but due to their 'Leigh' style the material is tight, so they don't appear too loose or gather at the legs. Although this exact pair are no longer available, here is a link to a similar pair that are still in stock on the Topshop website.
Yet another Zara basic tee - I'm a sucker for Zara's basics! These are the most flattering tshirts I've found to date, and I love everything from the deep V neck to the light airy material.
This shirt is an example of how great some vintage finds are - I found this light denim, over sized piece was found in Rokit a few years ago. You can find similar shirts in almost every charity shop!
Hope you've been enjoying your Bank Holiday weekend!

Park Middelheim OOTD
Hello lovelies, here's a rather quick outfit post that I wanted to share with you guys from my recent trip to Antwerp, Belgium. Another city break can only mean one thing, another blog post added to my pending list of European ventures to write about.
Once again, my outfit is pretty much all black. I think my love affair with my dark wardrobe is a losing a battle for those who keep suggesting 'colour'. So let's just go with it, accept it and move on!
Outfit details:
Jeans - A couple of posts ago I included a pair of distressed Jamie jeans on my Spring wishlist and I found this pair in the mid-season sale for £25! Having had a check of the website they seem to have either got a new batch, or they've priced them back up to £42 (OR I was extremely lucky) find them here
Fedora - I found this little beauty in Next, and it's got to be my wardrobe favourite since. I always thought I had a somewhat big head, but all hats seem to be massive for me - except this one! This fedora fits like a dream and sits well without me having to worry about the next gust of wind. find it here
Cardigan - This cardigan was bought from River Island a couple of years ago, and I can't seem to find anything of the same shaggy material since. However, the cocoon fit cardi trend has since made it easy to replicate this look. similar style here
Bag - Although it's not really shown here, I've still been committed to my Michael Kors chain bag - it's perfect for traveling. Though, a couple of months ago I found this faux fur pom pom from River Island and I've had it attached to my bag since. similar here
Trainers - I'm still adoring my Nike Flex Runs and have them pretty much stapled to my feet everyday. Although this particular model is no longer being sold, you can find similar styles on the Nike website here

Jeans & Tee Kinda Girl: OOTD
As promised, here is a super casual outfit post featuring my new (ish) loves - my Nike Flex Runs!
This outfit is very typical of what I tend to wear on a daily basis, keeping me incredibly comfy but *somewhat* trendy.
Today's errand running outfit was pretty minimalistic (isn't it always), featuring my trusty Zara jeans that I've consistenly purchased and worn over a 3 year period. This Zara slogan t-shirt was purchased in the sale for £1.99 - I'll let you take that in for a moment. Zara stores still have a small section dedicated to last sale items, so I'd definitely recommend you go for a quick browse to pick up some bargains. My faux leather jacket is also from Zara (there seems to be a trend here)- similar one here and I'm wearing a New Look shawl, that I also found in the sale for £10, around my neck as a statement scarf.

Another item which has quickly made its way to the contents of my most worn wardrobe is this Michael Kors Jet Set Saffiano-leather cross body bag. It's the perfect size to hold your daily necessities and matches almost any outfit due to its simplistic style and colour. You can find the bag here.

OOTD: Monday Calls for Cocktails
For many of us Monday calls for a serious episode of post weekend blues as we dread making our way back to work/school. Despite my wardrobe choices being a part of the darkest colour palette possible, the weather in London today was absolutely beautiful. As a result myself and my friends decided to go for a few drinks in the evening whilst the sun was still making a definite appearance! As always my outfit was quite minimal, though I allowed the accessories do the talking - the strappy heels and my classic Chanel with gold hardware. I also put my hair in a sleek top knot *bad hair day alert* but I went for a bold berry lip colour to bring that edge to the overall look.
My outfit features a new firm favourite of mine and an absolute bargain-buy - the Primark strappy heels. These heels were bought in the sale (as if Primark needs a sale) for £8! I instantly fell in love with these beauties, and I just knew they had to be mine - you can only imagine my excitement when I found out they were almost half the price at the till (originally £14).

Autumn Wish List
I'm not entirely sure how this happens, yet every year when Autumn creeps its way upon us, I seem to convince myself that I have nothing seasonally appropriate! I have been lusting over camel coloured long length blazer coats, yet I am still to find one that fits and looks perfect (will I ever?). Zara have brought their A/W offerings, and there are a couple of similar styles that I have been eyeing - purchase pending.
Now if you know me personally, you will be no stranger to my ever growing collection of boots - located in a whole area of their own, my collection now exceeds 15-20 pairs. But this does not stop me from drooling over these beautiful Alexander Wang Anouck jodhpur boots. These boots are slightly higher than ankle length, which I find add so much to an outfit and add both length and sleek shape to the legs, especially when paired with black skinnies. These skinnies with rips at the knees just add a little bit of texture and harshness to the sleekness of a lengthened blazer.
Finally, on my wishlist I have featured this Phillip Lim mini messenger bag - perfect twist to the traditional professional satchel.
What transitional pieces are on your Autumn wishlists?

Here's a quick outfit post, featuring my recent Prada purchase from Bicester Village (look a few posts back). We've been holding onto the last few days of summer here in London, so my outfit involved light layering.
As always, I've let the accessories do the talking with this outfit and played around with textures and materials to liven up an all black outfit.
I wore a loose fitting silk-like shirt, similar one here and layered that with my beloved Asos longline chiffon blazer (I've worn this to death, I know).
My trousers are waxed leather effect jeans, purchased from Zara in the sale (unfortunately only available full price now) - identical pair here
As you may know, I am loving the pointy shoe trend that has well and truly made its way back, and these H&M pumps are the perfect day rendition of that sleek heel look - similar style here
What have been your pre-autumn essentials?

Holiday OOTD's:
Only after
returning from my holiday did I realize that I should have taken photos
intended for ootd posts, however after a scroll through my holiday snaps, I
thought perhaps a quick collage of a few of my outfits might do the trick. Here
are four of my holiday outfits featuring playful prints, Chelsea boots, a
leather gilet and a bright turquoise bag. Hopefully this post will show you how
to play around with outfits using the some of the same items.
Outfit 1: Zara
Basic white vest paired with Topshop dye print trousers (old season), Bershka leather gilet (old season)
and Topshop Chelsea boots.
Outfit 2: Zara maroon vest, H&M black hoodie, Bershka gilet (old season) , Forever21 animal
print trousers and Topshop Chelsea boots.
Outfit 4: Topshop
Mickey Mouse vest, H&M hoodie, Primark maxi skirt tied with a knot on the
side and Topshop ballet pumps.

OOTD - Sunny Start To The Week
Despite being a
winter baby with the warmer seasons being my least favourite, I woke up this
morning feeling rather happy to see the sun. Who doesn’t like to start the week
off with a bit of sunshine eh? Here’s a quick outfit I threw together to go run
some errands, and as usual, to get my daily fix of Starbucks.
These hareem style
trousers are a sale purchase I made from Topshop a couple of months ago. They
are so lightweight and perfect for this season. The trousers have a very small,
black and white checkered meets dogtooth detailing making it easy to pair with a
variety of bold coloured t-shirts – I just wore my oversized basic, black vest
from Zara; but it would work with almost any colour, be that electric blue,
neon yellow, fuchsia pink etc.
My shoes are just
basic pink ballet pumps from Topshop which I’ve worn one too many times and are
in need of replacing – big time! As for accessories,
I wore my long Hamsa chain from Topman, my usual miscellaneous bracelets, along
with my classic Ray-Ban aviators. And finally, the skull-studded chain bag featured in this
outfit is an old purchase from ASOS.
Hope you’re
enjoying the weather!

June 2013 Fashion Wish List:
- I've lost count of how many blazers I own, but they seem to be all I wear in the warmer months! Oversized off white blazer here
- I basically live in jeans whether that be high waisted, boyfriend, ripped, skin tight.. I already own a pair of Topshop Joni jeans and I wear them to death so I'm pretty desperate for a new pair. here
- If you know me, you know I basically wear my Chelsea boots everyday and these cut out boots would make a good alternative to that. These would be a super cute way to toughen up an outfit, and add an edge to dresses and skirts. here
- Crop tops are my weakness. I'm pretty sure I already have about 5 black crop tops, but this is different.. it has a mesh panel..right? here

OOTD: The Boyfriend Jeans
Boyfriend Jeans
seem to make quiet reoccurring appearances in the fashion limelight and then
slowly exit without being really noticed. They certainly haven’t received the
attention that skinny jeans caused, nor have they created a buzz like the high
waisted jeans. However, if you have an eye for trends, you will have noticed
that denim is back. Of course denim has always been a staple piece in all our
wardrobes, though this fashion rebirth has brought into style a twist on our
street trends – the double denim, the denim colour combo, the distressed
denim, the second skin denim, the oversized denim – denim is back, in all cuts
and hues! And with its arrival, it has brought back to the scene oversized
boyfriend jeans. Some people fear this style due to height, curves or sometimes the fear of looking too masculine holds them back. I personally love
the look of them and believe the use of hair, makeup and heels can add the
right amount of femininity to soften the overall look.
Today, I decided
to wear a simple white vest, leather jacket with khaki sleeves, and Chelsea
boots with my boyfriend jeans. The look was rather casual, though I could play
around with this to create a smarter, more feminine look with a topknot
hairstyle, a playful lip colour, ankle strap heels, oversized clutch bag or a
blazer. For a Starbucks run however, I kept my outfit fuss free and simple.
